    Health Funds are again legally permitted to rebate for Pilates sessions. On 19 June 2025, the PHI 51/25 Private Health Insurance Legislation Amendment Rules (No. 5) 2025 were issued reversing the ban that came into effect in 2019.

    Why do we give you exercises for the small muscles in your feet?

    The Pilates exercises that we give you for your feet might not be exciting, but they are essential to your body’s function. A 2015 journal article from the British Journal of Sports Medicine explains that the stability of the arch of the foot, where most of these muscles lie, is a key part of your core stability.

    Does Pilates help neck pain?

    When specialists and imaging are unable to identify a specific identifiable cause for your symptoms, you are usually considered to be suffering from what is called mechanical neck pain (aka “idiopathic” meaning we don’t know why….). A recent study in 2018 into the effectiveness of Pilates in the treatment of chronic mechanical neck pain concluded that Pilates is an effective and safe treatment with no adverse effects.
