    Wellcentred Pilates is a clinical Pilates studio in the heart of North Sydney

    Meredith began Pilates over 25 years ago with Lesley Ackland in London after seriously damaging both sacroiliac joints in the pursuit of her amateur ballet obsession, while working in the finance industry.

    As a result of the work and insights of the technique, she is still very active and effectively managing her ageing hypermobile joints all these years later.

    After five years in New York, via Sydney, Meredith retired from the finance industry to return to Australia to pursue a second, non executive director career in 2004. She completed her formal Pilates teacher training in 2006 and spent the next 6 years working with Penny Latey, one of the pioneers of Pilates in Australia. She started teaching at Wellcentred in 2012, keeping up her various board positions until she took over the ownership of the studio in June 2018.

    She continues to do Pilates workshops and classes with many different master teachers and has come to appreciate the value of choosing from the wide variations of exercises, modifications, ideas and cues that the Pilates method has evolved to include over the years.  The sessions she teaches are based on non-judgmental close observation to identify what will work for you, so you can move, sit, work, sleep with less pain, more freedom, more strength and do the things that matter to you.

    Meredith has a Diploma of Pilates Movement Therapy 10867NAT and is a Level 4 Profession Instructor (Pilates Association of Australia). She is also a DNS Registered Exercise Trainer (Rehabilitation Prague School).

    She provides tailored Pilates programs designed to address your unique combination of physical conditions, movement habits and what you do at work and at play. Your program is delivered through private and semi-private (maximum of 3 clients) sessions targeted at your specific needs and goals and work with you to give you tools to get the best out of your body to allow you to live your life to the fullest.

    Meredith works with people of all ages, fitness levels, recreational passions, elite athletes, artists, tradespeople, expectant mothers and any degree of injury or chronic condition.

    Your session may well change over time as you master the technique, recover from injury or bring a new challenge to help you resolve.

    Your Pilates session is based on solid medical science and  Meredith’s highly experienced training and personal skills. Each session will adapt to how you feel on the day – sometimes gentle and relaxing, sometimes creative and challenging. You decide.
